The main problem with the current labour market is the very limited amount of flexible jobs, particularly the part-time ones. The pivotal role in the future of labour will, however, be played by three groups: students, mothers with children and the elderly. Without active involvement of these groups, a continuous decline in employment will follow. This can be achieved only by a significant reinforcement of part-time jobs. A central role in this will be played not only by employers but also by the state. The full CSO report titled Models of the anticipated labour market trend in the Czech Republic until 2050 can be downloaded from this page.
